The School of Property, Construction and Planning offers courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level that prepare you for an exciting range of careers. All courses are accredited by at least one of six professional bodies: Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), Association of Building Engineers (ABE), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA). You can join undergraduate courses in surveying, construction, property, architectural technology and planning. We also offer postgraduate conversion courses that enable both cognate and non-cognate degree holders to pursue a professional qualification. In addition to professional recognition, partnerships with industry ensure that courses remain current and relevant.
The School of Architecture gives you the benefit of excellent studio and workshop facilities. Choose from courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level that prepare you for practice at the highest standard, all accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) or the Landscape Institute. In 2009, the School of Architecture celebrates its 100th year. The School is part of Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, one of the largest, most comprehensive providers of art and design disciplines outside London, with an international reputation for excellence in both teaching and research. The Division of Housing, part of the School of Social Sciences, has been delivering professional housing programmes for nearly 20 years and is a major regional provider of housing education in the Midlands, offering accredited courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level to support your career aspirations. Courses are accredited by either the Chartered Institute of Housing or the Environmental Health Registration Board.
